FrontPac continues to take responsibility – regardless of new EU decisions

The EU has decided to postpone the sustainability reporting requirements under the new CSRD directive. But for us, that doesn't change anything. Sustainability is already a natural part of our business – and the work continues at full speed.

In 2024, the EU announced that the implementation of certain requirements within the CSRD (Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive) would be postponed, which means that many companies will have more time to adapt to the new guidelines. The directive essentially represents a major step towards increased transparency and clearer sustainability reporting in the business sector, where companies will report everything from environmental impact to social responsibility and governance.

For us, however, the announcement does not mean any major change. The work on sustainability is already deeply rooted in the entire business – from material selection and production to supply chain and personnel issues. For several years now, we have been self-assessed according to ISO 26000 and publish sustainability reports annually.

"We see sustainability work as an integral part of our mission, not as a one-off effort to meet regulations. Even though some companies may now be waiting for the new requirements, we continue to stay one step ahead", says Martin Enocson, Managing Director at FrontPac.

Taking responsibility for the environment and society is not just a moral issue – it is also a strategic investment. By working proactively, we can ensure that both we and our customers are well equipped to face the future's increased demands for transparency and accountability.

For customers and partners, our approach provides security: we do not wait for legal requirements to do the right thing – taking responsibility is always a core value for us.
